Fiber Optic Theory & Design Course (One Day Only)
Learn theory, history, design, and new uses of fiber. This course is geared to design, IT, engineering and installation professionals who desire a strong understanding of fiber optic principles.
Fiber Optic Installer |
 |
An ideal course for those entering the fiber optic field, Fiber Optic Installer is also ideal for Network Managers and Information Technology personnel contemplating fiber build-outs. Fiber Optic Installer practice routines enable the student to confidently design, cost estimate, and install network fiber links in new and existing copper or coaxial environments.
|
Advanced Fiber Optic Technician Certification
(Please note that Advanced Fiber Optic Technician classes are scheduled immediately following Fiber Optic Installer classes.) |
 |
The Advanced Fiber Optic Technician Certification course teaches designers and technicians how to carry out successful fiber optic engineering tasks, terminations, and splices. This course dramatically increases a technician's chance for success in this industry by first ensuring that a complete understanding of fiber applications, design aspects, and light transmission principles are acquired, prior to proceeding to the lab portion of the course. This course provides extensive hands-on practice for installing passive components such as connectors and mechanical splices that are typically used in LAN, CAMPUS, and WAN systems.
|
Fiber Master Journeyman reviews numerous network architectures such as Ethernet, Token Ring, Bus, Hybrid networks and Fiber-Category Five fully operational cabling scenarios. With a strong emphasis on hubs, routers and switches, Fiber Master Journeyman promises to be a real challenge to premise LAN as well as WAN technicians.
Fiber Master Journeyman also offers an in-depth study of the new technology known as Wave and Dense Wave Division Multiplexing. These network hierarchies are prevalent in ATM and Sonet Distance Transmission Systems.

Certified Test Technician
This course is designed to teach Network Administrators and Cable Installers how to:
- Certify telecommunications cabling according to nationally and internationally recognized standards,
- Troubleshoot and resolve various telecommunications cabling systems.
Standards are in a constant state of change, so it is imperative that Cable Installers and Network Administrators keep their tools and skill sets up to date.
| Fiber Optic QA/QC Level I Inspector |
Fiber Optic QA/QC Level I Inspector is designed for Quality Control Inspectors, Project Managers, Field Supervisors, Consultants and Owner Representatives who must review and approved contractors or subcontractors installation and testing practices. It covers all aspects of basic fiber applications from receipt inspection and cable pull inspection to various forms of termination inspection criteria. With an emphasis on WAN, ITS, security and power generation systems, this class is ideal for METRO communications, utilities workers and Traffic Management personnel. Upon Successful completion of this course, the candidate will be able to complete basic inspections and the associated documentation. This course also prepares the individual for Inspector Level II which presents more advanced applications and practices within the industry.
|
Fiber Optic QA/QC Level II Inspector |
The Level II Fiber Optic Inspector course is an advanced level of inspection, following a delivery method that is similar to how fiber optic technicians are certified. With Outside Plant applications, support equipment for splicing and ODTR report reading, this course prepares the technician with the technical knowledge background needed for inspecting nearly any fiber optic application. Both Level I and Level II Inspector Certification are ideal courses for nuclear and conventional power plant inspectors, water treatment and industrial process control inspectors, smart highway, intelligent traffic system inspectors and government department of transportation inspection personnel.
